1. Mandates of the Directorate
 There are five mandates of the Directorate of Extension Education. They are

Promotion of agricultural development through professional extension service,

Strengthening and enhancing professionalism in extension.

Supervision and monitoring extension programme of the University

Providing guidelines and maintaining coordination among various centers and sub-centers including KVKs and

Organizing trainings for extension functionaries and other officials of Central and State government to upgrade their knowledge base.

Agro-Climatic zones
Whole State is the operational area of the Directorate of Extension Education. Therefore, the Directorate functions in all the three agro-climatic zones of the State.
